My current projects include a system to help stock takers of licensed premises, including reporting. There is a separate system that can be used by hotels to manage the transfer of stock between the cellar and bars. The recorded information at the hotels is then transferred to the stock takers and imported into the main system. This is being developed using VB.Net, Visual Studio, Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL, with a lot of highly automated Dropbox based data transfers between the head office, the stock takers and the hotels. This a replacement of an earlier development of a Clipper/dBase system that has been operational for over 20 years.

I am also currently developing a couple of web sites, and will add the links here once they go live.

..and there is always general advice and assistance with new hardware, software, deployment and backup strategies. This can be anything from choosing and setting up new PCs to assistance with selecting a customer relationship management package.

Previous projects have included development, deployment and/or support of Lloyd’s underwriting systems such as SABRE, Sceptre, Exact, Subscribe and IPF3. This has involved the integration and deployment of associated systems, such as the Capita Randall Lyons Swordfish and the Charles Turner Knowledge Center document management systems.

Just before the internet start up bubble burst I was very involved with an internet startup that was aiming to sell good quality sound effects for use on web sites.
